I’ve been seeing overalls a lot lately. I really like them – they’re comfy, have tons of pockets (unlike most women’s fashion), and provide many styling options. I’m going to share a few ways that I like to wear them. Let me know what your favorite way is in the comments!
1. Belt it with a ribbon.
Adding a belt ages the look and gives definition to the piece. A ribbon is a great belt (especially for more girly overalls like these). I tried to go with a monochrome look for the shirt and ribbon.
2. Belt it (outside the belt loops)
Wearing overalls with heels makes the look more polished. With a belt outside the loops, it adds an unexpected twist, allows you to pair it with different sized and shaped belts, and prevents the overalls from swallowing you. I think uncuffing the overalls gives it an edgier look.
3. Embrace your inner child.
In this outfit, I took a tie dye shirt and tied it in the back to make it a crop top. By not belting it, it’s playful, but with a crop top, you don’t look too much like a very tall child. 🙂 I think this would be perfect for going to an amusement park or festival because overalls are super comfy and you don’t even need a bag because of all the pockets!

4. Add a blazer.
Adding a blazer makes the overalls less of a focal point in the outfit. I especially like the way that the one unfastened hook changes the overall look. I love the way overalls look by adding heels, blazers, and clutches- I’ve seen a lot of style bloggers do this.
